The sense of insecurity in Mesopotamia led to establishment of detailed legal codes such as code of Hammurabia that was inscribed in stone pillar in order to unite Mesopotamia in 1792-1750 B.C.E. The sole purpose was to promote the welfare of the people through justice and eliminating any evil through protecting the poor.
